It is recommended that students complete Social Studies 11.
History 12 provides students with an introduction to 20th century world history with a particular emphasis on world conflicts and their economic and political effects. In addition to learning about historical events, students will be guided through various writing assignments to further develop their skills in analysis and interpretation.
The course consists of five highly interactive units that include video, audio and interactive computer activities such as "drag and drop" assignments, interactive maps showing the spread of political unrest and interactive timelines. Standard information is presented in creative and visually appealing ways to help students stay engaged and motivated with the material.
For each unit, there are many opportunities for students to practice their skills before submitting a major assignment or in the case where the student is already comfortable with the material, there is an opportunity to move forward. You analyze your needs and you set the pace. We help you achieve those goals!
