Description

Intro German 11 is the first part of a three year program of German Language studies.

You will be using a German Language program developed in Germany by Deutsche Welle. Course contents and course structure have been developed in accordance with the Common European Framework and have taken the specifications for the language proficiency levels A1, A2 and B1 into consideration. Authentic videos, slideshows and audio texts convey a vibrant picture of life in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Vocabulary and grammar are introduced in an activity-oriented manner and consolidated in a variety of exercises.

Face-to-face or zoom conversations will be part of the expectations for this course. This will start with the first interview but please understand that you will be asked to meet several times while you are in the course. This could be to clarify questions regarding written and oral assignments, to get some support for your language learning, or to present part of a project.

When you have completed Intro German 11 successfully you should be able to interact in a simple way and use familiar everyday expressions. You will be able to introduce yourself and others and answer questions about personal details. In Intro German 11 you will strengthen your ability in reading and listening comprehension, as well as written and oral communication.
