Description

Principles of Math 12 is the most academic of the Grade 12 math courses. Students use headphones or speakers to hear narration and explanation while the material is presented online. Students have complete control over the pace at which they learn the lesson—lessons can be paused, resumed, and repeated using simple navigation buttons. Examples are interactive with animated step-by-step flash and video whiteboard solutions. The assignments and tests however are done by hand and submitted either electronically or by mail.

There are a number of optional activities included in the course such as quizzes with instant feedback and videos to enhance student understanding.

This course covers the following curricular areas:

Module 1 : Transformations
Module 2 : Exponential Functions and Series
Module 3 : Trigonometry
Module 4 : Probability and Combinatorics

There are four modules divided into eight assignments.

Students must bring their own graphing calculator to all module tests, as well as to the provincial exam.
