Post-secondary Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for post-secondary education trade schools, colleges, or universities differ from one institution to the next. Counsellors are able to assist students in their post-secondary searches, but students are responsible for researching and knowing the admission requirements of the institution they wish to attend.

Post-secondary information is available in the SIDES Counselling and Career Centre, and through the links to colleges and universities on this site.

Admission Deadlines

Simon Fraser University

- May 1 general university admission for September entry

Thompson Rivers University

- different deadlines for different programs; see a SIDES counsellor for assistance and calendars for program deadlines.

University of British Columbia

- February 28 deadline for September entry

University of Northern British Columbia

- February 28 early application deadline for secondary school students

University of Victoria

- self-reporting grades - Dec. 15 - check calendar for program deadlines - February 28 deadline for secondary school student early-application deadline

Camosun College

- apply now or as soon as you make a decision on a program choice - May 1 deadline for September entry for most programs but first-qualified, first-come, first- served. - advised to apply before Feb 28 so that marks can be retrieved by the Institution to which you are applying.

UVic News!

- Effective immediately, UVic is now accepting Law 12 as an acceptable academic 12 course.
