What does the program consist of?
Our grad is a very small, but personal program, unlike many of the huge ceremonies at other schools. We usually have your teacher or counselor/advisor say a few words about each of you individually. We also have guest speakers, entertainment by some of your fellow students, candid photos, and a small reception afterwards.
How many students are in the grad class?
We usually have about 60-70 students graduate each year, and a small group chooses to attend the ceremony.
Does the graduation ceremony include adults?
Yes, our graduation ceremony is open to all of our students, including school-age and adult students.
How many guests am I allowed to bring?
You can bring as many family and friends as you wish to the grad ceremony.
What should I wear to the graduation ceremony?
You can wear formal, semi-formal, or casual. SIDES will supply graduation robes, but please feel free to wear what you wish, as it is YOUR night!
Although we don’t have formal photographs, we do take individual photos of each of our grads, plus group and candid photos. All of these photos are copied to a CD for our students, which we mail to them after the ceremony.
Are there any fees to be paid for the event?
No; SIDES covers the cost of the entire evening.
