Listed below are programs or web sites SIDES has made available to enrolled students to enrich and supplement their programs.
- Primary Web Site This is for students using our program from K to grade 4. The site has many links and resources that go along with the Primary modules. The full site can be accessed through SIDES Online when students register.
- Encyclopedia of BC This is the definitive reference work on BC. With more than 4,000 entries and hundreds of photos, maps, tables, and charts, the EBC is the source of readable and authoritative information on all the significant BC people, places, and things you would currently have to search a vast library to find.
- United Streaming Discovery Education streaming integrates seamlessly into any curriculum with 4,000 full-length videos segmented into 40,000 content-specific clips. today, one million educators and thirty million students in more than half of US schools learn with Discovery Education streaming.
- World Book Online Reference Centre This is the premier online reference source. With thousands of articles, state-of-the-art multimedia, editor-reviewed web sites, periodical content, and more.
- Tumble Books The TumbleBook library deluxe collection has 140 TumbleBooks, 21 TumbleReadable children's classics, 60 TumbleGames, 8 unabridged streaming audio books, TumbleQuizzes, and Teacher Resources.
- Tumble Readables this is an online collection of read-along titles for elementary, middle, and high school satudents that features adjustable online text and complete audio narration. Sentences are highlighted as they are being read and the pages turn automatically. The collection features chapter books, early readers, young adult/teen novels, high-interest-low-level books for both middle school and high school students, and classics of both American and English literature.

- All the Right Type This is an excellent application for developing touch-typing keyboard skills.
- Draw Plus This is an amazing drawing and graphics software that enables students to create stunning vector graphics, family trees, room layouts, and even web animations.
- First Class eMail Each elementary student is provided with an email account for communicating with his or her teacher and classmates. Students can use First Class as a centralized location to:
- obtain and submit work assignments and voice messages
- obtain due dates for assignments and testing dates
- determine school announcements and holiday schedules
- collaborate with students on assignments and projects

- Sides Online This is our platform for electronically-delivered programs and elementary web site (currently under development and will be available in September).
- Successmaker Online SuccessMaker Enterprise features standards-based curriculum for reading/language arts and mathematics, and is currently used in more than 1,000 Canadian schools and more than 16,000 world-wide. - Reading Tutors Your complete source of reading tutor materials. Many children need extra help to become good readers, and all students benefit from individualized attention. Building a strong tutor/mentor program provides the infrastructure to help boost student reading scores across the board. Our resources give educators, tutors, classroom volunteers, and parents the tools to help emergent readers gain key literacy skills. Reading Tutors is a low-cost, easy-to-use collection of research-based resource packets. Each packet contains everything needed for a successful tutor/mentor session. - Let's Go Learn This is a good resrouce for online reading and math assessment, and basic math/pre-algebra to US standards.
- What in the World? This is a complete, monthly current events unit by and for Canadian elementary and secondary classroom teachers. Grade 6 to 12 teachers send monthly pdf.
- Inspiration Inspiration is the essential tool students rely on to plan, research, and complete projects successfully. With the integrated diagram and outline views, they create graphic organizers and expand topics into writing. This powerful combination encourages learning in multiple modes. Elementary Software Library
SIDES has a library of computer software suitable for elementary students to use to enhance their learning experience. Please click here to view a list of the titles. To use this resource, please contact your child's teacher. Students may sign out a maximum of three titles at a time, for a period of one month. When those titles are returned in good order, more titles may be borrowed. Various programs may be available only to meet the needs of some students. Older programs might not work on newer operating systems.
