Middle School Overview

For the 2016- 2017 school year, SIDES is excited to offer new courses in our Kindergarten- Grade 9 program, which reflect the redesigned BC curriculum.

These courses are based on the following core competencies:

We have woven these competencies throughout our courses and are looking forward to sharing these dynamic and engaging courses with our SIDES students.

All SIDES students in our K-9 program require the support of a Home Facilitator.  A Home Facilitator can be a parent, grandparent, or an adult who is designated by the parent or guardian to support the student in the home each day.

Our new program is based on a teacher-led cohort model, which means that students will engage in the program while connecting regularly with their teacher and classmates through V-classes and online discussions.  Students will be expected to attend weekly V-classes with the support of their Home Facilitator.  Students are also expected to submit assignments regularly for ongoing feedback.
