Prerequisite
It is strongly recommended that students have completed some previous courses in French. Those with no previous exposure to French should take Introductory French 8 before enrolling in French 8.
Description
SIDES Online FSL 8 is a high-beginner level, interactive online French as a second language course focusing on the basic communication skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing and presenting.
Students will complete assignments out of the workbook, or Carnet, using the SIDES website for listening activities and grammar explanations. Students have the opportunity to post in the discussion area of the course, and to participate in oral and social interactions in French at weekly½ hour virtual online classes. Marks are gathered through a combination of homework, presentations and projects through 4 units.
